But before I get too far into this blog let me give you a little back information about me. I'm Caitie, 20 (21 on May 30th!) and currently live in the middle of no-where East Texas, seriously I graduated high school with 72 people. I currently am attending Tyler Junior College and am a Public Relations major, I absolutely love it. I work at Hibbett Sports as a Rookie and learn something new everyday. I'm still not entirely too sure how I got that job either, seeing as how I know nothing about sports but I'm glad I got it, it's providing me with all sorts of insight into the world of sports. For example, I now know the difference between baseball and football cleats, mitts and bats are sized, and many many other things. On top of working a normal job and going to school I am also the Entertainment Editor for my student newspaper, needless to say I'm always busy.
After graduating high school I moved out to Utah to be closer to my older brother Aaron and attend school at Utah Valley University in Orem. Although my time in Utah didn't really have anything to do with school whatsoever, I am so grateful for the experience I had there. I had the amazing opportunity of being a band manager for Summer Lasts Forever and getting to network with everyone of influence in and around Salt Lake. One of the highlights was signing my name in the Star Bar in Park City next to Lil' John's. After leaving Utah I moved out to the Bay Area to live with my biological mom (aunt) and my sister Jenny (complicated family story) before deciding to move back to Texas.
I applied to the Disney College Program on a whim and didn't actually think I'd get accepted, the more I thought about the more excited I got, and the more I wanted to be accepted. I applied for Merchandise, Hospitality, and FSFB and got accepted for FSFB.
I'm so excited about this opportunity and can't wait to make the best of it! I'll try my very best to keep this blog updated throughout my experience, but it seems as if most DCP blogs are lucky if they get 3 posts a month.
Welcome to my journey.
i Love that pic of you and your sister. I am so excited for your adventure, and want to follow your blog and see ever step of the way what you are up too. I can't wait. Wish we could come to Florida this summer to see you.......
